I just returned from a wonderful 2-night stay at the Hotel Flora and Fauna. It was wonderful in every way! The room was so spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Loved the upscale Salt + Stone toiletries, the facial wipes, and earplugs in the bathroom. The robes were a nice touch as well! The kitchen was stocked with all the necessities and it's rare to have a freezer in your room, so that was a bonus! It's a 3 minute walk to Leaning Pear and a 2 minute walk to an excellent BBQ spot--both were great meals! The drive to HEB is 3 minutes--very convenient. Also really appreciated the free breakfast pastry and coffee down the road. I will be telling everyone I know who comes to Wimberley to stay here and look forward to my next stay, too!

Truly a great room. Bed was maybe the best hotel bed we have had in years. The shower makes you want to stay in there. Located closely to the downtown/square.

We met with some family and friends for 4 days we attempted to book here for all 4 nights however it was full the first night. So, we were able to book for the following 3 nights. The set up of the hotel is great (parking so so) around the pool. We were in Room #9 and the room was nice and clean no complaints there. I wasn't told about the complimentary candles! The only complaint that I would have about room 9 is in case of an emergency there is NO WAY OUT besides the front door, and if that's blocked, you're in trouble! The windows that are there have those Glass Blocks so there's no breaking through those! The other thing is the trash by the BBQ pit area was never picked up! even though housekeeping went and cleaned the rooms. But overall it was a very comfortable environment!

The room was amazing very spacious, but it lacks drawers to put away your belongings. We came with a party of 4 couples while everyone else got a complimentary candle and their breakfast vouchers we did not i did call them to let them know about the vouchers they said they would bring them over and they did but just one and we were 2 and we stayed here for 4 days 3 nights and we booked with plenty of time so they knew we were coming so i feel they had plenty of time to be prepared for everyone in our party but they weren't. We hung by the pool and hot tub which i love its open 24 hours love how the set up is of the rooms to the pool. They have a pit for bbqing which set up under a huge tree and a nice pergola that has lights but do not turn on they need more lights for the ambiance to be so much better. I will think about booking here again if we ever come back.

We enjoyed our stay. I love how it feels like a home away from home, rather than just a standard hotel room. The bed was very firm and comfortable. We were able to watch the Superbowl on the TV. If we can stay here again, I would bring an electric pan so I can cook. There's a beautiful kitchenette in the room with plates, cutlery, knives, cutting board, refrigerator, freezer etc, but no stovetop. It's a nice 10 minute walk to the square, but I just wish there was a sidewalk throughout the walk. There is a central sidewalk through part of the walk but surely doesn't go all the way. We had a six year old, and I was so scared since the drivers drive so fast on these roads. I also enjoyed the breakfast where the hotel gives us a voucher for one coffee and a pastry. I most of all love the quaint and quiet location!

I love this cute, quaint, boutique hotel! It’s in an excellent location walkable to everything in Wimberly! It is very quiet in the area but still so close to everything. It was very clean, fully stocked with all the necessities, has nice lush robes in the room and a very comfortable bed. It’s a great getaway for a long weekend and very close to many wineries in the area! One of my favorite things about this place was watching all the tiny hummingbirds feed off of the flowers surrounding the pool area while lounging in the pool. I highly recommend Hotel Flora and Fauna and know I will be back for a fourth time!

This is a solid 3.5/4 star stay... Room was in perfect condition with a comfy bed, clean dishes, and pristine environment. The shower was emaculate, but there was no conditioner or body wash. No problem... I emailed and called the host and they got some for the room the following morning. I did notice a stool I sat on, and I'm of average size, wobbled far too much to feel safe sitting on it. The hot tub was splendid but be warned... It heats up to 114 if you're not careful with timing it. The pool is cold and not heated. Other guests there said that the pool is advertised as heated. I do not recall this. For breakfast you'll receive breakfast vouchers for a drip coffee, tea, or juice and a bakery item (only), from Blanco Brew. Suggestion... Go to Blanco Brew, get the cinnamon roll and turn around and get the breakfast taco at the Saucy Taco behind it. Worth it. Robes are provided in room which is great. Uponf booking it asked if we were celebrating anything special. I said yes, our anniversary. I did not pay for the anniversary package tho. When we arrived they had a card placed out wishing us anniversary and they snagged a tall candle to give us with their logo on it, apparently. A very friendly kitty greeted us upon arrival and stayed at our door all Friday night.
